I was not expecting to enjoy looking at fossils… but was pleasantly surprised. Our Docent SARAH was extremely well spoken. She knew we had 1.5 hours and summarized the massive amount of information in a concise and captivating way. She was passionate about her work and was proud of her colleague Jason and what they had accomplished at the park.I commented on her ability to communicate and she shared her parents were English but she had grown up in a French schools. She indicated at times she struggled to find words however, I was extremely impressed with her ability to convey millions of years worth of information in such a short time!

A good way to get educated about the Devonian period at the museum and a nice ~3km trail to ponder the new knowledge after. Some nice views on the trail and some neat mushrooms to look out for.

The walk was very nice! Next time will visit the museum for sure. It felt like I was missing some explanations about the fossils :)

Impressive UNESCO site near our lodging. The visitor centre has a charge and the park around it has a separate charge. Both were interesting if you like fossils and earth history.

Very interesting fossil exhibit-who knew our Canadian shores could unveil such treasures! Took the 3.5km trail along the cliffs also, very pretty.

Great park. Take the tour to the waterfront to learn about fossils. The ~3km walk along the cliff is a nice easy walk and has great viewpoints.

Really cool park! We visited today with our puppy, and did the only pet-friendly trail, l'évolution de la vie. It took us just under an hour with stops to read the information along the trails. It's a very easy trail that follows the water and provides beautiful views! We noticed several birds and even a snake or two along the way!We didn't have the chance to explore other areas of the park, given dogs aren't allowed, but the Main Building seemed to have some cool fossil displays!

I am not a big fan about fossils but I give them credit to have 2 ginkgo trees in front of them! For that they ARE qualified for their specialty for ginkgo is the living fossil. They have different prices for different accessibility of their resources. I chose the cheapest one so only had a walk on the beach to admire the cliff and rock. They have a short walking trail and outdoor activities for kids. Their service and activity guide were both in french, I didn’t check if they can speak English. They have a nice cafeteria that offers good clam chowder.

Not a very big park at all, but what’s nice about it is that there’s a little trail in the woods above the cliff to explain stuff, and the steps down to the beach so you can see the pancaked layers of geologic record very clearly. Come at sunset hour and double your fun with a very nice sunset perspective while you examine the exposed rock cliff for various earth-era strata.

We really loved our visit to Miguasha National Park. The fossil exhibit is really amazing. We did the walk before the museum because it was going to rain later. If you have the chance to do the museum first it will make the walk that much more special. Right now there are not informational signs along the walk because they are doing updates. Take the stairs down to the lake and search for fossils. Definitely worth the visit!
