Will definitely visit again. The entire exhibit is lovely. The butterfly garden was amazing! Extra time is needed to see everything and enjoy it.

A great collection of insects from all over the world. I was astounded and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Wish I had shown up earlier as I arrived an hour before closing an would have loved to spend more time reading all the information about the insects!

Every year we visit the insectarium. Our youngest loves this place and insists on coming. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They engage children in conversation and often offer to take out certain insects so the kids can see them interact with humans. Prior to covid my kids got a chance to hold stick bugs. My little loved it.This year the new leaf cutter ant display is comprehensive and well built. You get a look into how the colony works. It's pretty interesting!

A very nice place to visit. It is nice to just sit and watch the butterflies in the conservatory. On the different levels there are many different types of insects to view including an active bee hive and an amazing ant colony network.

Can't say enough good things about this place. Extremely interesting displays, with a good selection of pinned as well as live specimens.The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and often eager to help. We were approached several times with offers to hold some of the safer specimens and just for general information too!Wait time wasn't bad at all, we arrived on a Sunday afternoon and we were in immediately.Gift shop is cute, but also has incredible variety.The butterfly garden is breathtaking, very very hot and humid, but almost magical.10/10 do recommend.

Great little spot to explore on a rainy day if you have even a slight interest in nature. From the exterior, the Insectarium seems unassuming, but there's actually a lot to see. I spent about 2 hours here, with the bulk of that time exploring the main exhibit (despite only uploading butterfly garden photos). They have a very fun live collection of tree cutter ants, as well as a few arachnids, stick insects, and more. Their beetle collection and insect as art" exhibits were also quite impressive. Finally

A wonderful little gem in Deer Lake. A great rainy day activity for kids and campers. We loved the butterfly arden and watching the leaf cutter ants.
